Robust Quantum Information Group
Make quantum information processing practical and useful in the near future.
The Robust Quantum Information (RobustQI) Group at Shanghai Jiao Tong University focuses on building the theoretical foundations for reliable and scalable quantum technologies. Our research spans the following pillars:
- Quantum Communication & Cryptography: We design high-performance protocols, such as mode-pairing QKD, to surpass the linear rate-transmittance bound.
- Quantum Error Correction (QEC): We develop fault-tolerant architectures and encoding schemes compatible with practical hardware, including bosonic qubits.
- Quantum Algorithms: We design efficient quantum algorithms for scientific computing, focusing on early fault-tolerant simulation and high-precision eigenstate problems.
- Verification & Learning: We work on efficient benchmarking and characterization of quantum states and channels to ensure the reliability of quantum devices.
About the PI
Pei Zeng (曾培) is a Tenure-track Associate Professor at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Before joining SJTU, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Chicago, working with Prof. Liang Jiang. He received his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University under the supervision of Prof. Xiongfeng Ma, and his B.Sc. from Nanjing University. He also serves the community as an Editor for Quantum journal.
